OOTD: metallic and polka dots
This morning was one of the days where I had no clue to wear, which turned into a lovely heap on my bed of half of my wardrobe.. so when In doubt I think what would 'insert here' do? I saw my metallic brogues and thought 'what would Fearne Cotton do?' (yes my life is really this sad and simple!) so I reached for my bargain polkadot dress from TK Maxx and I was ready to roll!
Do you guys get days like that too? And how is your style inspiration?

oh I do like to be beside the seaside...
Last week the boyfriend and I spent a few lovely and sunny days down in Brighton, full of food, long walks along the sea front and of course a (quite) a bit of shopping. It was really nice to spend a few days beside the seaside - as soon as I got back on the train home to London I was missing the sea air, the rolling waves and the vibe that Brighton brings.

5 things I don't give a s**t about!
In response to an article I read in Glamour magazine UK by Isy Suttie, I decided that for me too there was many things I quite frankly couldn't give a hoot about! I know it's cliche but life is too short - I can remember this time last year like it was yesterday and it doesn't seem long ago that I was welcoming in the new year! I think we all come to a point in our lives when we start doing things for ourselves and not for others; at 21 it has taken a few years to get to grips with this - I have finally learnt to go with my gut, take a few chances and know that even if I do fail (as I have so many a times!) at least I have tried - without that you can't possibly move forward. Onwards and upwards!

OOTD | lazing on a sunny afternoon!
With the much awaited appearance of the sun I headed to Telegraph hill in New Cross (south London) to soak up the good weather whilst it lasts, accompanied by a good read, cider and the boyfriend. It was lovely to be able to walk out the house not wearing a jacket and being able to get my legs out - signs that summer is fast approaching!

Benefit Buys!
Benefit is a love affair I've had for quite a while now, and it's always exciting when you get a few new bits to add to the collection. I decided to buy a new primer, as I had previously been using the 'that gal' but after realising it wasn't really doing that much in terms of keeping my make up throughout the day I decided to opt for something different and after hearing good reviews I purchased the 'pore-fessional' primer, something that would work really well under a BB cream. I have really been enjoying this, it keeps my makeup on all day, goes on smoothly (only needing a small amount), smells good and hasn't irritated my skin at all. A big thumbs up!
